Marine Says Corps Kicking Him Out

An outspoken Marine critical of President Barack Obama says the Marine Corps is moving to kick him out.

Sgt. Gary Stein says he was notified Wednesday that the Marine Corps has charged him with using contemptuous words against the commander in chief and violating the Defense Department's guidelines barring troops from engaging in political activities.

Stein says the notification stated that the Corps was beginning the process to have him discharged.

Stein says he was told he was in violation for running the Facebook page called Armed Forces Tea Party and stating on the page that he would not follow unlawful orders from Obama. Stein says he launched the page to encourage service members to exercise their free speech rights.

He says he has done nothing wrong.

Wah wah wah! If he doesn't like the conditions HE agreed to then he needs to get out of the way and let the REAL men do their jobs. In the middle of a battle, you can't have someone whining, "WAHHH! I don't like the President. Wahhhh." So, step aside.

Okay Iron Mike, I commend this soldier for stating what he believes. Obama is a poor commander in chief, and he does not really support our military efforts as a nation. It is a shame that the military and the public has been brainwashed to not stand up and speak there mind for fear of things just like this. All because Obama is president. Speak the truth and quit trying to be politically correct!

Obama is a poor commander??? I would offer that Bush Number 2, who thoughtlessly threw away the lives of American soldiers along with the entire Constitution, was a poor commander-in-chief.

Iron Mike, I think you need to see a doctor. You are suffering from 'Rusty Brain Syndrone'. This Marine has been an asset to the service for years. He only said he could not follow any order that took away the rights of the American people. Where did he say he did not like the president? Not agreeing with him is completely different. I agree by changing the Don't ask, don't tell policy , they opened the door for other long traditional ploicies to be reviewed. Before you say anything about me not liking the president because he is black, I want you to know I disliked Clinton just as much and he's white. So oil your brain, go see the wizard and learn to progress with the times.

He can't be much of an asset if he can't follow order and honorably fulfill the oath he made to his country.

This isn't change, this has been part of the military justice code for decades.

So here's a question. I see lots of posts about "he swore an oath to follow the rules of the Marine Corps". OK, sure he did, and he deserves to be punished. But then why did all you liberals get all upset when the military was kicking people out for violating the UCMJ by engaging in homosexuality. Is their right to violate an oath any more important than his? They swore to obey too. Why did you defend them? Their rights? So the right to be homosexual is more important than the right to freely speak your mind? Or is it just more important to your agenda? How can you separate one right from another? If he gave up his rights, so did they. It's the same oath. Oh, now I get it. It IS the agenda, isn't it? So the only people that deserve to be protected are the people who agree with you? That's disgusting.

This guy apparently can't abide by the oath he took. We don't need him in the Marines, where HONOR is essential. Let him go running home to mama.

Not a lot of "honor" in the corp anymore. Urinating on dead bodies comes to mind......

The military has learned how to repeal policies so maybe it is time to re-evaluate this one. Everyone should have the freedom of speech especially those who risk their lives for it. Change has to start somewhere. I admire him for standing for what he believes in.

Mary, good idea! Let's change 5000 years of military tradition because this wimp can't fulfill his oath. Then, we can change it back when a white guy is President, right? What a tool you must be.

We did for homosexuals. Is that right more important than one that was important enough to the founders to spell out in the Bill of Rights (the first one to be exact)?

I'd rather there be a gay in uniform who CAN obey orders rather than straight one who CAN'T.

And just how many years was the "Don't ask, don't tell" tradition in effect before it was changed? You pulled the race card. Why? I don't care what color the president is, only that everyone is treated fairly. Tradition(your own words)was changed for homosexuals so what would be wrong with taking a look to see if it is time for more change? Maybe you wanted just that one tradition changed because it fits your lifestyle and changing the freedom for military to speak freely is a threat to you. You are one of those who believes only laws you agree with should be changed. Change can be a good thing. So sad you can not see the forest through the trees.

I "pulled the race card" because I CAN see the forest through the trees, and I know what's truly at the base of all the anti-Obama madness. I truly thought as a nation we had turned a corner when Obama was elected. Unfortunately, around that corner was a bunch of Republicans putting on their white robe and lighting crosses.

Right wrong or indifferent, the UCMJ stands as the law that you adhere to when you swear in. If you want to be a rebel, be a rebel. But you knew the rules when you signed on the dotted line. Now your gonna squak when the heat comes on.

Sounds like this Marine has a point. And the fact that he is being told he has no freedom of speech rights means our Socialist Dictator has taken hold and is here for the long haul folks!! I would not fight for him either. Sounds like some Rights are being violated. True Americans stand up and be counted!!

Yeah this man took an oath,,but maybe he sees and hears things that we are all not aware of. Maybe he can see where our country is headed under Obama...and further more why should he or any other military person give their one hundred percent to a man as secretive as Obama is. Consider the facts people.
