The Marine Corps recognized four local Marines Friday for their actions in Afghanistan.
All four had a part in the first time during the war in Afghanistan that an Osprey was involved in enemy fire.
Squadron 264 aboard New River Air Station gathered to honor their four hero's.
Pilot Thomas Keech, his co-pilot Matthew Cave, and their two crew chiefs: Justin Barfield-Smith alongside John Cederholm-- were all called forward and recognized at a special ceremony. Each recipient had the combat "V" placed on their medals-- an additional honor.
After a ground force was hit with IED's trying to get supplies to a battalion-- these four successfully got the job done with only three minutes on the ground.
Corporal Cederholm says it's all in a day's work for any Marine.
