Camp Lejeune Sailor Killed In Afghanistan

The military says a sailor based at Camp Lejeune was killed while conducting a patrol in Afghanistan.

The Defense Department said Sunday that 25-year-old Petty Officer Brian Lundy of Austin, Texas, died Friday while conducting a dismounted patrol in Marjah, Helmand province.

Lundy was assigned as a hospital corpsman to the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.

    My heart aches for this young man and his family. I pray that the Lord, Jesus Christ will wrap his loving arms around Corpsman's family and bless you all with peace at this heartbreaking and difficult time. Thank You for your ultimate sacrifice.
