Another Marine based at Camp Lejeune has died in Afghanistan.
The Pentagon says Corporal Chris Bordoni died Tuesday of wounds he received in January. At the time, the corporal was conducting combat operations in the Helmand province.
The 21-year-old was from Ithaca, New York and was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines at Camp Lejeune.
A website for the Marine said he was a rifleman, on his second deployment to Afghanistan and was expected to come home in February.
The site says he was wounded during an attack by a suicide bomber.
