Camp Lejeune Facility Raided In Investigation

Authorities have confirmed that a Camp Lejeune facility was raided during an investigation into thefts at the Marine base.

The Daily News of Jacksonville reports Saturday that no Marines were suspected of being involved in the thefts.

Naval Criminal Investigative Service spokesman Ed Buice says the approved raid occurred Thursday morning as part of an ongoing investigation.

Base contractors told the newspaper that civilian contractors were suspected of selling surplus gear to Marines and pocketing the proceeds.

I guess it's no worse than the one who had such a high level of clearance that he could not be pulled from his position because he used the governments money to buy his TV's, four wheelers and many other things. I wonder why there was no mention of where on base this happend or what building number it happened at? hmmmm?
