Camp Lejeune Marine Pleads Guilty To Bribery While Overseeing Iraq Construction Jobs

A Camp Lejeune marine pleaded guilty to bribery charges.

Julio Arreola admitted to asking a government contractor for bribes while overseeing construction projects in Iraq.Prosecutors say the 36-year-old told a construction representative that he could recommend the purchase of items from the company in return for cash payments.

The marine faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
