Bragg Soldier From California Dies In Afghanistan

The military says a 30-year-old soldier based at Fort Bragg has died in Afghanistan.

The Defense Department said Sunday that Sgt. Nicholas C. Fredsti of San Diego, Calif., died Friday in Spedar when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg.
