20 Camp Lejeune Marines Killed Since July 1st

The war in Afghanistan has been deadly for American troops this summer, including for a base in Eastern Carolina.

Twenty marines from Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville have died in Afghanistan since July 1st, according to the Jacksonville Daily News. The paper says Camp Lejeune has had 50 casualties in Afghanistan since March 2004.

Marines from Lejeune were deployed to the volatile southern region to stabilize areas with heavy Taliban influence before the recent elections.

    This has not just been a deadly summer its been the deadliest time since it started in 2001. If Bush were still president the liberal media would be bashing the heck out of him along with the democratic congress.The media would be interviewing family members every day if Bush were president. The media will not say anything bad about Obama supporting this war over OPIUM TRADE. DOUBLE STANDARDS!
