Marine Sergeant Arrested In Sex Case With Subordinate Marine

A Camp Lejeune Marine is accused of a sex crime against another male Marine.

Sgt. Kyle Mullinax of Sneads Ferry is in jail after being charged with second degree sexual offense.

Onslow County deputies say on July 27th the 23-year-old Mullinax hosted a party at his home for other Marines in his unit. The 19-year-old victim, who is a Private First Class, told authorities he fell asleep and awoke to find Mullinax "touching him inappropriately", according to a news release.

The Marine victim left with other friends and reported what had happened to his military command and to deputies.

Mullinax's bond was set at $100,000.

I think you are right "Veteran." These guys go to Iraq and Afghanistan and fight for their lives. They feel once they are back, they are invincible. We see on the local news everyday they are not invincible. My wife was a Marine and the duty came to her room and fondled her. They moved her to another unit. The duty was drunk. 10 years in the Corps and I am out not. Wow! I had to reprogram myself to be a civilian.

Not only does the Marine Corp need to stop the culture of "drink or you are a wuss" but it also needs to crack down on sexual assault. One commenter here seems to think sexual assault is mostly false when in reality most sexual assault goes unreported because what does go through COC is mostly unpunished. If you look at the SAPRO numbers almost 3000 cases are reported and only 300 go to trial, this hardly seems like guilty until proven innocent. It seems more like ignore the problem and hope it goes away, meanwhile crimes against Americas heros are happening. Lets stop making excuses.

Devil Dog....The Sgt was holding a get together for the guys in his unit. They could have been getting ready to go to Iraq or something. They weren't just "hanging out." Besides....you see he was touching the PFC and the guy woke up...and all you can see is the Sgt. wasn't suppose to be hanging out with a PFC....what is wrong with that picture?

Good Lord, what has happened to my Marine Corps? I think they must have let down their requirements. They are enlisting murderers and low-lifes. A shame.

What was the PFC doing at the SGT's house in the first place? What ever happened to Non NCO's and NCO that are not suppose to hang. They both were at fault
