Two More Camp Lejeune Marines Killed In Afghanistan

The Pentagon announced Saturday that two more Marines from Camp Lejeune have died in the fighting in Afghanistan.

Lance Cpl. Gregory Posey, 22, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Lance Cpl. Jonathan Stroud, 20, of Cashion, Okla., died Thursday.

The Defense Department says the two were injured while supporting combat operations in Helmand province.

Posey was an assault man, assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment. He joined the Marines in March 2007 and is survived by his wife.

Stroud was a combat engineer, assigned to the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion. He became a Marine in April 2008 and is also survived by his wife.

Both men deployed to Afghanistan in May 2009 and were recipients of the National Defense Service and Global War on Terrorism Service Medals.

Greg was a really good friend of mine and I was just wondering how a page that is ment to be for making the families feel better and to remember a fallen hero became an arguement over politics. Greg was a good person and his family is in my thoughts and prayers....

These Marines died for our Country. I wish Obama would go on TV, and let us know about his war?. It seems to be a secret no Obama war on TV. Not like President Bush he put the war all on TV. Now we have reruns on the history station. I wonder how many more Americans will die in Obamas war this month? Thats one of Obamas war secrets. Forget the war give them health plans?

Hey McCain said yesterday that they need more troops in Afghanistan. Maybe another surge will work. Kenny, if the US didn't invade Iraq, its probable that Al Qaeda wouldn't have moved into Pakistan. If wars are so profitable Kenny, why did a recession occur after the invasion of Iraq?

Obama is a manufactured candidate. His way was paved by the media. He has lied about who he is, and he continues to lie in ways big and small. This realization is slowly dawning on people beyond the readership of the conservative internet-based media.. Growing numbers of Americans are coming to realize that they have bought into a false picture of Barack Obama. They thought he was post-racial. A healer who loves white people and can bring closure to the trauma of the legacy of slavery. His gut-level response to the Gates arrest revealed a man still very very angry about race. Who has little regard for the police. Also somebody who doesn't know how to admit he was wrong. This is what the Obama voters gave us as a President.

Good Morning Derek - The Dem lib media force the Republicans out of office. With Obamas election promise to get out of all Bushes wars, and not stopping Al Qaeda let them have Iraq & Afganistan. Obama said change no more wars. We will save American lives. The Obama voters believed him and another lie. Walter is right and Obama found out war is good for business. Now Iraq is secure lets go to Afganistan even thou the enemy is in Packistan, but we are still spending American tax payer money and it all help grows the economy. Derek you say "and now we are making this political? " Politicians start wars it is young men & women who fight it. You know who hates war the most is the person who has to fight it. Not the politians. Obama needs this war to help stimulate the economy he is destroying.

So now that Bush is out of office, are we all to assume we don't care about stopping Al Qaeda, and now we are making this political?

Derek - Harold did not run his mouth. You just do not like the truth. When confronted with the truth you seem to get a little nasty why? Obama is the Commander and Chief of all the American Armed Forces. He could give the order to pull out of Afganistan ,Iraq, tomorrow. He chooses not to. He owes so many companies a favor who donated money to him to get him elected. How can he pay them back? Easy Gov't war contracts. War is good for business it will also stimulate the economy. Just like WW2 did it got us out of the depression. I do not think he cares to much about the war dead. He still has yet to go to one funeral. To him "Obama" it is all about him, and his rating and poll numbers. My condolances to the families.

I give my condolences every time I pray. What- your confused. Bush never apologized for the war. Bush never campaigned and said he would bring everyone home like your messiah did. How can you stand yourself? Knowing that you voted the wrong way. Oh... and stop hiding behind the name of what?

Should have given your condolences before you ran your mouth, chef Harold.

To: Harold - No matter whose war it is, it is heartbreaking for the families of these young, brave soldiers, just as it was for the families of those whose lives were lost on 9-1-1. BUT, had "your president" not seen the need to start a war after he screwed up, (perhaps as a diversion?), these young families would be together, living healthy, happy, normal lives. You think??? It's a little late to close the gate now that the horse is out, don't you agree? And who do you "blame" for all of the lives lost BEFORE Obama took office in January, 2009? What did he have to do with the onset of these wars? Now he has to deal with trying to finish what Bush started, much to his dismay I am sure. Too bad Bush and his wife had twin daughters instead of sons. Wonder how he would feel after receiving a "Letter of Regret" from the "Commander in Chief"? And what's preventing his girls from going into the service of our country anyway? P-O-L-I-T-I-C-S, maybe???
