A North Carolina-based jet pilot has been selected to join the Air Force
Thunderbirds demonstration team.
The Goldsboro News-Argus reports that Capt. Chad Shenk of the
4th Fighter Wing at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base was selected
this week to fly with the team.
The wing uses F-15E Strike Eagles.
The Thunderbirds are based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
Activated in 1953, the Thunderbirds perform dozens of flights annually in F-16 Fighting Falcons.
