Bill For First-Time Homebuyers In The Military

The first-time home buyer tax credit might not pass military members by, depending on what happens to a bill in Congress right now.

Rep. Walter Jones has introduced a bill that would allow military members to still get the first-time homebuyer tax credit even if they must sell their home within three years of purchase. Congressman jones says military members often have to sell homes quickly, because they are transferred, deployed or required to live in government quarters.

For someone so simple minded to leave a comment like this makes me wish we wouldn't give up our lives to protect them. People like you should be sent to the middle east and see what we deal with on a day to day basis. From a military member who has done 3 tours in the middle east.

IM, why don't you wrap yourself in the flag and relax.

These 'so-called heroes' as you say are the very reasons we have what little freedoms we enjoy in this country. They die so you can post your opinion. You have no idea what military families have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes they have to move within a very short amount of time. Military families that have to move in such cases do not enjoy a lot of the benefits of moving as the rest of us do without the short notice. When was the last time you were told you had to move in 90 days or less?? Most people don't, except the military. Rep. Jones should be commended for trying to help the military in this situation. Such a tax break without the limitations on it would help military families in our state.

Jones is another flag waving hypocrite. I don't know what good this will do. Most of these so-called "heroes" would rather spend their money at strip clubs and on drugs.
