OLF Bill Moves Forward

A bill that would require the Navy to get state permission before it could build an outlying landing field in the East is moving forward.

Representative Bill Owens of Pasquotank County filed the bill last month to amend an existing state law. The change would require the Navy to get permission before it could buy land for an outlying landing field in Gates or Camden counties.

The bill is scheduled for a vote by the full house Thursday, after clearing its committee Wednesday.

Please do not build this in NC. If you do, build it at the Navy Bombing Range. You alreday own that land.
