Marine Accused Of Killing Wife Due In Court

Two Camp Lejeune Marines are due in court Tuesday. They're charged in the murder of one their wives, an army nurse at Fort Bragg.

Cpl. John Wimunc is accused in the murder of his wife, Holley. Her charred remains were found in a shallow grave in the Sneads Ferry area of Onslow County in July 2008. The remains were found about four miles from the edge of Camp Lejeune.

Lance Corporal Kyle Alden is charged with first-degree arson, conspiracy to commit arson and accessory after the fact to murder.

The case is taking place in Fayetteville, which is where Holley lived before she disappeared. Police started looking for her after a fire had been set at her apartment.

Police say the Wimuncs were getting divorced.

In January 2008, Onslow County authorities discovered the charred remains of Lance Corporal Maria Lauterbach in a fire pit.
