Marine Found Dead In Motel Room

The death of a Camp Lejeune Marine is under investigation after police say he died in a motel room.

Cary Police say 20-year-old William Nicholas Tripp was found dead in a room at the Days Inn on Walnut St. Sunday. That's according to the News and Observer of Raleigh. The paper says someone in the motel room called police around 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning about an unresponsive man.

Police say they have not determined whether foul play was involved, and are treating Tripp's death as, quote, "untimely."
