Providing security while Marines are fighting in war is a daunting task at times.
Often times marines encounter IED's or roadside bombs, that can destroy their vehicle and can be deadly.
Tuesday, Marines with the 2nd marine logistic group at Camp Lejeune trained to spot, identify and react to IED's or Improvised Explosive Devices.
The IED's constructed by insurgents are not always visible to the naked eye.
They can look like a piece of paper, a strip of metal, or be hidden in objects.
Most often times Marines are able to spot the IED's before they explode.
If not, the realistic training is a learning experience these Marines can take with them overseas to help defeat the enemy.
