Soap Giveaway At Ft. Bragg Demand Overwhelming

Officials have rescheduled a giveaway of soap and other toiletries for military members and their families at a North Carolina Army post because of huge demand.

Fort Bragg officials said the "Soap for Soldiers" event will be held Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. It had been scheduled for Friday, but moving the event to Saturday allowed for better traffic flow.

Officials also said the change would keep the way clear for emergency vehicles. The event at the NCO Club parking lot is open to active duty, National Guard, reservists and retirees and their families.
