Two Marines Killed, Another Injured In Pennsylvania Crash

A tragic accident in Pennsylvania leaves two Camp Lejeune Marines dead and a third one injured.

State police in Chambersburg tell WITN News that the three Marines were on Interstate 81 in Franklin County yesterday when their SUV veered across the median and into oncoming traffic. Troopers that's when it was hit by four different tractor trailers. A bus was also involved in the crash which shut down the busy interstate for several hours.

Two Marines, 18-year old Justin Clayton and 19-year old Caleb Rushing were pronounced dead at the scene. The third passenger, Timothy Miller, who is also based at Camp Lejeune, is being hospitalized right now.

State police say the three were returning to Camp Lejeune from leave when the accident happened.

My heart breaks for the these families. My son graduated from High School with Caleb in May and was his friend. My son's name was Landon Carney. Landon was a passenger killed in a auto accident as well in Nov. There is pain like the loss of a child. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers. I know our boys are in Heaven with the Lord, however we miss them all so much.

Caleb Rushing was my nephew's best friend and my nephew was packed and ready to go with them. I thank God that my nephew's class in VA went to long and he could not make the trip. It was God's plan. I pray for all families involved. Please pray for the students at Denham Springs High School. Caleb is the 6th student from their high school class to be killed in a trafic accident in about a year and a half. Please pray for my nephew too as he was the one that had asked Caleb to join the Marines with him. Caleb's family is doing as well as can be expected. Please pray for the students at Denham Springs High School.
