Troops Home In Time For Christmas

Almost 200 Fort Bragg soldiers are returning to the post after 15 months in Iraq.

The 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade is scheduled to return Monday morning. The unit gathers intelligence and performs surveillance and reconnaissance missions. It is commanded by Col. Robert P. Ashley.

Officials said the unit was scheduled to return in the morning, but had a flight delay.

The 525th traces its lineage to World War II interrogation teams. It fought in Vietnam and Panama, in Operation Desert Shield and in Haiti.
