Decals Bar Civilian's Vehicle From Marine Base

A civilian worker at Camp Lejeune has sued base officials for banning his truck and the anti-Islamic stickers on it.

Jesse Nieto's son was one of the sailors killed in the 2000 terrorist attack on the USS Cole in Yemen. A few months later, the former Marine started expressing his anger toward Islam with bumper stickers on the vehicle he drove to work at Camp Lejeune.

Nieto says in the lawsuit filed in federal court that base officials violated his free-speech rights by telling him to remove the stickers.

He says the rules against offensive speech aren't consistent, and leave decisions to the discretion of base commanders.

A Camp Lejeune spokesman did not immediately respond to an email
seeking comment Thursday.

As long as the vehicle is not used during the course of business there is no way this should be allowed to happen!! There are plenty of bumper stickers I don't agree with, but this is outrageous. Relieve the base commander of his command and let free speech return to all.

I second that! What happened to the america we once knew that was truly free. Liberalism has truly done this country in and its only going to get worst. Remember and cherish the memorys of what this great country once was before it was taken over.

What kind of yellowbellied, lillylivered idiot is running the base down there? This man has every right to feel the way he does. That base commander, or whoever made the decision should be court martialed.
