26th MEU Gets New Commander

Colonel Mark Desens relinquished his duties to colonel Matthew St. Clair at a change of command ceremony aboard Camp Lejeune Friday.

Desens is heading to Quantico, Virginia to serve at the Marine Corps
Training and Education Command. He led the 26th MEU through two deployments since 2008. St. Clair was most recently the military assistant to the executive secretary with the Department of Defense. The 26th MEU recently returned home from an 8 month deployment.
