Sunday marks the first of several days of Marine returns with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
Marines aboard the USS Gunston Hall and the USS New York will begin offloading operations at the Morehead City Port Sunday morning. That afternoon, they will be reunited with their families aboard Camp Lejeune.
Monday morning, the aviation squadron of the MEU will arrive at Marine Corps Air Station’s New River and Cherry Point to be reunited with their families.
Marines aboard the USS Iwo Jima will be offloading through the 17th and the 18th.
