Children who live in neighborhoods affected by the tornadoes are getting a chance to have some fun and to clear their minds of all the devastation.
With the help of private sponsors and Coastal Carolina Horsesense, kids are having a blast at the spring break rodeo camp in Onslow County.
Coastal Carolina Horsesense is holding its annual spring break rodeo camp all week. Fifteen children showed up Monday and more than half were affected by the tornadoes.
The kids are learning about different events in a rodeo and why they exist. Then they get the chance to participate in goat tying, roping and bull riding. It's something one parent said is a relief for both her children and her family following the tornadoes.
On Friday the kids will have a rodeo for their parents and friends at Sam's Ranch.
