Wreck Slowed Traffic At Greenville And Arlington Blvds.

A busy Greenville intersection was slowed this morning after a two vehicle crash.

Police and fire-rescue crews had to direct traffic at the intersection of Greenville and Arlington Blvds. A wreck at that busy intersection around 10:30 a.m. Monday slowed traffic.

A Saturn sedan collided with a pick-up truck. The sedan appeared to have been headed south down Arlington while the truck was headed east on Greenville Blvd. The sedan had the most significant visible damage.

An ambulance was on the scene, and emergency personnel were evaluating one of the people involved. However, officials on the scene did not expect the person would need transport to the hospital.

The accident scene was cleared in about 20 minutes.

The accident occurred about 20 yards from where the tv station is, that is probably the reason this accident was reported on and why not every accident in Greenville gets attention.

Just an FYI, the WITN station is 300 feet from this intersection.

Okay!! No need to be hostile I just made an honest comment. I know there are a lot of accidents that's why I was surprised that this one was reported. If I had something against WITN I wouldn't be on their website! (wow people take things so serious)

I'm wondering how WITN determines what to put as news. They put this and it said "fender bender" yet it made the news? The other day there was a terrible accident on Greenville Blvd right at the Convention Center, and an SVU was flipped over. That was a 3 car accident, and it didn't make the sews. I passed by and was concerned about the passenger, and thought for sure I would find out the outcome on this website. But they never even reported it. WOW

OMG... Do you think the reporters can be everywhere anytime something happens?? Do you have any idea how many wrecks happen everyday in Eastern Carolina? Get a life.

Like any other news station, they only have so much man power to cover stories. There probably were other things going on where they were covering other stories and didn't have the people to cover it. This morning, I am assuming it was a slower day and they could cover it. There is no reason to blame the station for it.

Did you call WITN and report the accident? If you had, perhaps they could have investigated and reported on it.
