Woman Stabbed At Target, Police Look For Suspect

Police are looking for a woman who they say stabbed another woman after a fight at Target in New Bern Friday afternoon.

According to officers they were called out to the Target on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd for a reported stabbing around 4:40 p.m.

When officers got there they found Sade Foye and Shadonna Berry standing in the parking lot.

After investigating officers say that Tiffany Love was shopping in the clothing department when she was approached by Foye and Berry. An argument then started between the three women.

Officers say Foye struck Love in the head and Love responded by hitting Foye several times. Love then pulled out a knife to use against Foye and Foye attempted to flee the store. Officers say Love chased Foye outside the store near the entrance where the knife was used three times to stab Foye.

Some people shopping in the store were able to separate the three women and Love was able to leave the area before police got there.

Foye was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released.

Foye was arrested and charged with simple assault and public disturbance. Berry was arrested and charged with public disturbance.

Officers are still looking for Love who has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and public disturbance.

It is a sad situation that this stuff still happens. Whether it is on MLK or Mainstreet. I do see how people are outraged, but do you think getting on this website and making jokes and bashing someone is the solution. The determination that people weren't raised right is not a fair statement. Everyone in America who commits a crime is not the product of a failed childhood. It is so easy to make a comment, but clearly, this is not the answer. I do agree with the station allowing people to exercise their 1st ammendment rights, but Some people take it to the extreme. Everyone that shops on MLK or lives in public housing are not criminals, just like everyone who lives in River Bend or is financially sufficient is not a saint. Come on people. Make a judgment as your God given right, but don't contribute to the problem. If you really care so much about what happened, become part of the solution

OLI hit it on the nose. Do not interfere with women engaging in "tribal behavior" (good). That's what the cops enjoy doing so much. Bet any cop in his right mind would keep his distance. Am glad I no longer work in law enforcment- lost my tolerance level for trashy behavior decades back.

Probably not the first time the cops have been called to a disturbance on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Every town has one, & every town has the same problem. The fools dont know how to act.

Have you ever heard them fight and argue in public? They sound like dogs barking! How can they understand each other? In other thoughts, how do they talk to each other on the phone?

That's why their kids don't have manners too! No home training anymore. That is why you can't go watch a movie in a movie theater anymore!
