A woman is hospitalized after she flipped her car on the way to see her boyfriend at Camp Lejeune this Thanksgiving.

19-year-old Calisa Edwards of Portsmouth, Virginia was driving south on Highway 17, when she went off the road, hit the ditch and flipped her Ford Focus near Voice of America Road, in Beaufort County Thursday morning.

NC Highway Patrol says Edwards told them she was distracted by her visor when she went off the road.

She was taken to Beaufort County Medical Center with minor injuries.
