Anonymous Tip Leads To Arrest In Robbery Outside Bank

Havelock police say an anonymous tip led them to arrest a man for Tuesday's robbery that happened in a bank parking lot.

Ross Dufalla was arrested at his home on Paradise Drive. He is accused of taking two bank bags from a customer as she was walking into the BB&T on East Main Street.

Police say Duffalla has been charged with strong armed robbery and they were able to recover cash taken during the crime from the man's vehicle. Duffalla told police he got rid of the bags in Kinston and officers there recovered the discarded bank bags which still had a number of paper checks inside.

The 28-year-old man is being held on a $250,000 bond.
