Some of you have it ; It's mainly the DEF. coach with the small man complex, but Sport should of stepped up and taken care of him yrs ago. Anyone that has been around Pack football in recent yrs knows about this mans behavior and attitude. The Pack has not had a winning REC since '08 , 8-5 with a playoff win. They have'nt beat a team with a winning REC since then until NP this year and they are 2A. The pack is 1-16 against winning teams in 2 & 2/3 seasons. There only wins are against 1a,2a and weaker 3a teams. You do the Math. Pam Pack Supporter, You hit the nail on the Head. Attitude is everything and does not need to be Bad. Good Luck Sport.

Since all of these armchair coaches have so much knowledge, why don't they go to one of the schools and ask for a volunteer form and they can be approved to coach in a matter of days. I am sure any of the coaches would love to have the help of all of these budding Vince Lombardis and Bear Bryants in this county. Have any of these coaches ever gone to your high paying low stress jobs and told you how to do YOUR job??? If not, then why don't you leave the coaching to the coaches and you continue to be a fair weather fan and not go to the games and support the players and the coaches. THANK YOU!

Just an FYI. MANY have asked to help at WHS and the help was declined. Kellum even offered to help at WHS when he was at PS Jones middle school and WHS didn't take his offer. You can't tell me if you were a coach and Dewayne Kellum offered to help you, you would tell him " No Thanks". Many have offered, few have been accteded.

I tell you what, the Southside Seahawks are called a fluke this year. But i watched them..and they could make a run in the playoffs.

Does anyone notice that these negative posts are only from those over in Beaufort County? I think this explains why that place is regressive instead of progressive. You guys quarrel too much over petty issues. Let the men coach, watch the boys play, and be fans that support the program (especially when things get tough). Have you ever thought that maybe your negativity is part of the problem? If not, go to Music in the Streets instead of going to the game.

The point is that the boys and girls of Beaufort County deserve better. The funding for the ENTIRE school system is terrible and it shows in SAT scores AND performance on the field. Live through it and you'll understand. If you fault anyone for wanting better for the kids then you have your own issues. Getting involved doesn't help, complaining want help BUT expressing your issues atleast gets your opinions heard. The boys and girls deserve better ! That's the bottom line.

Reply to the Veteran it is very obvious you know nothing about talent when it comes to High School Football sure Northside has some talent but the talent they have have are 9th and 10th graders. And they are playing against teams that have very good talent of 11th and 12th graders. You are cerntantly not a veteran of High School Football if you think the problem will get solved by bringing in another coach. Besides one on Staff coach doesn't cut the mustard in High School Football. Get Real!!

SINCE THERE IS NO TALENT AT NHS, THEN SEND COACH BOYD TO WHS AND COACH SAWYER TO NHS.LETS SEE WHAT COACH SAWYER COULD DO WITH NO TALENT AND SEE WHAT COACH BOYD COULD DO WITH TALENT.WHAT WOULD COACH BOYDS EXCUSE BE THEN???? AFTER 6 YRS YOU CANT KEEP BLAMING LOSING ON A YOUNG TEAM AND NO TALENT.

How about washington and northside trade head coachs.
  • by Pam Pack Supporter Location: Washington on Oct 8, 2011 at 09:02 PM
The real issue with the Pam Pack coaching staff is not the head coach, but the defensive coach. He is continuously disrespectful and demeaning of both the players and other coaches. He is NOT a team player and his behavior demoralizes the boys. If anyone needs to go it's him, not Sawyer. Go Pam Pack!

Ignorant people. Sawyer studies the game day and night. I don't understand how people can think that a coach who lives football the way Sawyer does needs to go. He is an admirable, determined individual. The "true fans" don't see what goes on at practice and on the sidelines. It's amazing how stupid people sound up in the stands. As a coach, you put the 11 guys on the field that you think will win the game. As a play caller, you call the plays that you think will gain yards. The team is young, Sawyer is experienced. He knows what he's doing. The fans need to support the team day in and day out, or shut their mouths.

To all the "Pam Pack Haters"...first, post your real identity. Second, pull for the kids and coaches and if you have the answers, I am sure the coaches would listen and take your "opinion" to heart. The kids need to have fight and attitude when they hit the field and maybe they will find that this week after seeing their QB go down. I will continue to support the team and coaches at EVERY game!Go Pam Pack!
