Near-record warm temperatures continued across eastern North Carolina on Thursday. Warm conditions will continue Friday but cloud cover will increase. There will also be a risk of a few showers and an isolated thunderstorm. Highs will reach the lower 80s inland and lower to middle 70s along the beaches. A cold front will arrive across the area on Saturday continuing the chance for showers with highs in the middle to upper 70s. Slightly cooler air will arrive for Sunday with partly cloudy skies.
