Victim Shot During Armed Robbery

One person was shot in the foot during a Friday morning armed robbery and assault in Greenville, but police say the victim is not being very cooperative.

The incident happened just before 11:00 a.m. at 3907 Sterling Pointe Drive.

Christopher Hardy told officers that he jumped the fence from Sterling Pointe over to South Square when he was jumped by three suspects. Hardy said one suspect had a black handgun and another told him to empty his pockets. He says they went through his pockets and when they didn't find any money, one of them shot him in the foot.

The incident remains under investigation. There have been no arrests.

Its 7ft high fence with big sogns on that says NO TRESSPASSING!!! why is suspect nopt going to be charged for tresspasssing too? the fence was put up to keep ppl from crossing between and breaking into sterling pointe homes. IF the sign says STAY OUT then my guess is u need to stay out stay off the fence!!!!.

I feel bad for the people I know who are (trying to) sell places in sterling pointe. Shows you what happens when you put "housing for everyone" in with "housing for people who work for a living".

Bruce the Shark and Mrs. Shark say"Let the gangrene set in and take his foot" He'll talk soon enough. Remember that there is no honor among thieves. I hope he does not blame any people of color since people could be offended.

Something smells very fishy about this whole story. Maybe it was his gun that went off after he jumped the fence. Let's just hope he did not name suspects of color if it did not happen that way. I feel the NAACP gearing up for another useless rant.

Dare I say it...?? Since he admittedly jumped a fence... and is not cooperating... and was shot in the foot... I wonder (pure speculation, folks) if he had a gun in his pocket that discharged when he jumped the fence and he actually shot himself in the foot...?? If this wasn't the case, I most certainly apologize for the thought and wish the victim a speedy recovery. Perhaps a little cooperation would help allay such theories.

First of all he had no business climbing over our fence. He probably doesn't even live in Sterling Pointe. We put the 7 ft high fence up to try and keep the undesirables out of our neighborhood. Our town home association is fighting a battle with these thugs every day. More likely he was supposed to have some drugs for them 3 thugs and when he didn't they got pissed off and shot him. If he won't cooperate with the police he should be put under arrest for obstruction of justice and trespassing as we have signs all over the fence saying "No Trespassing" and he obviously was doing that if he admits to climbing the fence.

well, if the victim doesnt want to talk, the heck with him. I believe victim must know the suspects then and he is not telling the whole story.
