Two high school students were injured after troopers say their bus hit a car that pulled out in front of the vehicle near South Lenoir High School.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. at Highway 11 and Tulls Mill Road next to the high school.
Troopers say the two 15-year-old boys and the driver of the other vehicle were sent to Lenoir Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Teri Mcintyre of Kinston has been charged with failure to yield the right of way. Troopers say the woman was on the side road and pulled out in front of the bus which was southbound on Highway 11. Mcintyre's 5 month old baby was in a car seat in her vehicle and was not injured.
The Highway Patrol says there were 31 students on the bus, which had one more stop before dropping the children off at school.
