Two Charged With Cockfighting

Deputies have arrested two people for a century's old blood sport they say was in progress at a home in the east.

24-year old Luis Morales and 54-year-old Nicolas Perez of Stantonsburg in Greene County were charged with cockfighting. Morales faces other charges, including restraining a dog in a cruel manner.

Morales has bonded out, posting a $2,500 bond, while Perez is still behind bars.

Greene County Animal Control is handling the investigation.

I guess what I'm confused about is why you would feel the need to speak with such culturally incompetent and untruthful slurs. I hope you act this way in public so I can avoid doing business with folks like you- your behavior is unprofessional.

@ fact bringer: i didn't say these guys were 'undocumented.' i said send ALL OFFENDERS and undocumenteds home. get it? and to 'anon': ever hear of a typo? get a life. to '@mark' here to stay like bedbugs or cockroaches? the mexican element is not the problem. if you are here legally, which i doubt based on your tone, there is no problem with you. welcome. if not, take your rear back across the desert.

If bleeding heart libs want to support illegals that's your business and your right; but IT IS my right to NOT support illegal aliens and they ALL should be deported. PERIOD.

why all the racial comments people,we all are equal in the eyes of GODand even though these two men was doing something illegal that doesn't give ya'll the right to judge the rest of the hispanics that live in this country because if not for them who would be doing all the field work, they take what job they can get, they don't fuss and whine like some people do,most of them come here to work and make a living like the rest of us do unlike some of the people that where born here. What i think is the government should send the ones that get into trouble and don't know how to stay away from trouble back to there home and the ones that come to do good let them stay and make a living.Like always said "don't judge a book by it's cover".
