Troopers: Increased Chance Of Accidents During The Holiday Weekend

According to troopers there is an increased chance of traffic accidents and fatalities over the holiday weekend, so they plan to be out in full force making sure people are following traffic laws.

Highway patrol is asking people to remember to wear a seat-belt and of course don’t drink and drive.

Trooper Amanda Signs said, "If you want to drink, drink, but you need to stay home or call someone. There's nothing wrong with that. Call a taxi, call another person, a sober driver to drive you home."

The highway patrols “Click It Or Ticket” campaign is in effect right now. Officers will also be conducting traffic stops.

To Yankee Transplant: I'm Southern, female, and I do use my turn signals, plus I don't run red lights! Biker I agree with you 100%! I always watch out for the bikers, bicycles, pedestrians,etc...

There is also an increased chance that you will be issued a citation for the slightest infraction. They need to justify their jobs and NC needs the revenue.

Get out of the way is a funny "foolish" person. Not only can't he spell correctly, but he makes an assumption about a person's motorcycle without even knowing what kind of bike BCSwampfox has. Never "ASSUME"

If the Southerners were removed from driving on the roads with their bad habits such as running red lights and not using turn signals, there wouldn't be as many accidents as there are around here.

If the Yankees visiting the OBX could drive the speed limt and stop rubber necking and be a lot more courteous there would not be any accidents aound here except for migrant workers that cant read a sign.Anyway,Transplant?More like Full Frontal Lobotomy.
