Traffic Shift On Rocky Mount Connector Project

The NCDOT will shift traffic onto the newly completed portion of the Rocky Mount Northern Connector between Hunter Hill Road and N.C. 43 in Nash County on Wednesday.

Woodruff Road from Hunter Hill Road to south of Brake Road will be closed to through traffic for the remainder of construction. Northbound Winstead Avenue traffic wanting to access Woodruff Road will continue onto the new section of the Northern Connector, turn left onto N.C. 43 and then left onto Woodruff Road. Southbound Woodruff Road traffic will take N.C. 43 and turn right onto the new section of the Northern Connector and then continue on Winstead Avenue.

The 4.6 mile Rocky Mount Northern Connector is scheduled to be complete in August 2011, connecting Hunter Hill Rd. to US 301 north of Rocky Mount.
