Tornado Tears Through Askewville Mobile Home Park

Seven mobile homes were destroyed at Jake's Trailer Park off of Askewville Road. Despite the homes being torn apart, a boy was the only one injured with a non-life threatening wound to his leg.

Residents were out trying to salvage anything they could from the wreckage Sunday. One person we talked to described the experience of having the walls around him disappear.

"I was laying on the ground everything was flying everywhere and I must of got knocked unconscious by something, and when I woke up it was just white everywhere all around me," said Tristan Hedges.

Askewville EMS workers were on hand to deliver meals to people who were displaced. Local churches provided the meals.

Not necessarily true Tristan Hedges was also hurt. He is not badly hurt but has a few deep cuts, and they were infected. But over all everyone there is lucky to be alive. its even more terrible then they showed. But Askewville could really use a hand in volunteer help. Thanks so much from all the people from Askewville N.C.
