Thunderstorms Likely Saturday

Warmer and increasingly moist air is gradually moving into eastern North Carolina ahead of a slow-moving cold front that will be pushing into eastern North Carolina on Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms have been most numerous across western North Carolina on Friday. Those showers and storms will slowly move eastward overnight into Saturday. Our area will see a 60% risk of showers and storms during Saturday and that risk will continue into Saturday night. We may see a bit of drying on Sunday although we'll still have a 30% to 40% risk of showers. Temperatures should warm into the lower 80s both Saturday and Sunday. The unsettled weather pattern will continue into early next week.
