Robert should have never went to jail yall just woke him up and why shoot a dog and it's dumb how a cop shot himself for shooting The dog isn't that means these cops shouldn't even be carrying the guns since they don't know how to use them don't you think?

I am Choppers owner the dog that was shot and killed. All I can say after reading all the comments on this page,is that there is two sides to every story. the Sheriff is the voice of his officers and I will be the voice of Chopper and the kind of dog he was. Chopper was a loving playful dog that has never attacked or killed anything or anyone.Chopper stayed with realitives of mine because insurance of my land owner would not permit him to stay with me and my children( because of his breed). Chopper was raised around kids of all ages.He was a big lap dog. The only thing that chopper done to a stranger when they walked up to him was bark (like any dog would) smell and hike his leg and pee on them. Pitt bulls are stereo typed in this country just as people are. Things could have been handled a different way where no one and no animal got hurt.

Anyone with dogs that size and stay outside those dogs are usually there for protection of the home its not illegal to own a guard dog and its not just drug dealers with guard dogs, Nicolas Sparks has 2 guard dogs that were trained to attack on command dont see anyone trying to have his dogs banned, fact of the matter is any dog can bite at anytime depending on the situation. as far as the duputy shooting himself lol im no gun freak but i know if you shoot down towards the ground theres a 80% chance of a riccochet!
