Three Arrested In Church Break-In

Three people are arrested for stealing from a church in New Bern.

On January 20th New Bern police arrived at Harvest Time Church on Oakwood Avenue to investigate a break in. Police discovered $1,600 of electronic equipment was stolen.

In less than 24-hours police arrested 19-year old Margaret Quidley, 23-year-old Charles Srnek and 18-year-old Zachary Stephens at Spike's Pawn Shop on Trent Road in New Bern. All three live on the same block as Harvest Time Church.

Senior pastor Clarence Langford's church, Fountain Life Fellowship Church, is right around the corner from Harvest Time Church. He says 20 years ago the neighborhood use to be one they could leave their doors unlocked...but not anymore.

Stephens and Srnek are charged with breaking and entering a place of worship, injury to real property and felony larceny. Quidley is charged with possession of stolen property.
