If you think your office is a safe place to leave your valuables - you might want to think again after East Carolina University police arrested three people for breaking into offices on campus.
ECU police say it happened in the old cafeteria complex last Thursday.
Officers say Quamane McNair and two juveniles broke into several offices in the building and stole things like purses, wallets and cell phones.
Staff members say they noticed McNair and the others acting suspicious, and tipped off campus police. All three are charged with felony breaking and entering, and larceny after breaking and entering.
ECU police say academic buildings are unlocked during the day, meaning people can come and go. They say it's best to keep your valuables locked up or with you at all times - something staff members in the building say they plan to do.
