Three Arrested After Child Wanders Away

Three people are now out of jail after being charged with child neglect when the three-year-old that was in the care wandered off.

Greenville police say 27-year-old Heather Danielson, 34-year- old Billy Danielson and 21-year-old Stephanie Straughn were all charged Friday after police received a call around 9:30 am Friday that a child was walking alone near Wachovia Bank on Greenville Boulevard.

Police say the child was dirty and had red paint on his legs and feet.

Moments after officers arrived the three who were responsible for the child at the time pulled up in a car and were later arrested.

The child walked roughly two blocks along Greenville Boulevard and possibly through a field before someone called the police.

There is no update on where the child is or the health of the child at this time.

The child was neglected so, its pretty much obvious they should have some kind of punishment for that. No one should neglect a child no matter what.

My grandchild is loving fun little kid, Its just too bad the parent is not responsible. She left the child in the care of A holes, But he is ok now that he is in better hands. It is in his best interest that no one knows his where about. I don't know who those people are. P.S. this is not the time this has happen!

My heart goes out to you. Hopefully the parent will wake up and be a parent. Bless you and your grandchild.

What this story fails to mention is that a customer in the bank did see the child and took him inside the bank and called police. There are still good people out there!
