A teenager is charged with breaking into several homes in Pitt county and even peeping Into windows.

17 year old Jimmie Speight faces 2 counts of burglary, and one count of second degree burglary. The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says he broke into homes in the Beaver Dam subdivision where he lives. They happened June 25th on Kings Branch Drive, July 10th on Beaver Lodge Drive and July 12th on Fairbanks Court. Lawmen also linked Speight to peeping tom incidents June 15th and June 17th.

"Being bold enough to come up and look in windows while these residents were occupied- it drew our attention there and we were fearful that that type of behavior would escalate into a more serious crime which is proved to be correct," said Sheriff Neil Elks.

Authorities say Speight was a student at Farmville Central High School last semester.
