Teen Charged With B&E's, Safecracking & Breaking Into Church

A Washington teen is in jail, accused multiple counts of breaking and entering, breaking into a church, breaking into vehicles, and safecracking.

Washington police arrested Michael Ballantyne of Bonner Street on Friday. He's charged with three counts of B&E, four counts of larceny after B&E, B&E of a motor vehicle and safecracking. He was also wanted for the B&E of a church in Pitt County. Beaufort County deputies have warrants for the 19-year-old as well.

Police say additional charges are expected and Ballantyne's bond was set at $95,000.

If there is one thing I have learned from this site it is there are few people that have anything positive to say. We are all so very blessed but it seems the 1st thing some people do is to get on this site and bash others. What makes you think that you are so perfect. Didn't your mother every teach you, if you have noting good to say, keep your mouth shut. God Bless You all and have a wondereful day. Remember this family and young man in your thoughts and prayers.

TO:...... hello? can you define "good guy" for me, better yet define a bad guy. he might use to be a good guy but not anymore. Just because you want him to be good does not mean he is. Look at his list of charges, this is not a good person people! Get him help or pray he grows up/out of this without hurting anyone or getting hurt.

His Mom has done everything she can to help him and it’s a shame that after all she is going through people want to bring her more pain!! Michael does have a good side to him and there are many people out there that have seen it! But all these people saying these things about him and his mom obviously haven’t seen that side, only what they have read so I don’t know why you think you can pass judgment on someone without knowing them or knowing the whole truth behind these charges. No sinner can pass judgment on another sinner’s sins!! And everyone sins! Michael has made some bad decisions in his lifetime and has been through so many terrible things that people will never know about. But he is also very caring, loves with his whole heart and is a good person. He just got started down the wrong path and he never stopped and he knows that!! But he is a strong person and he DOES have a good mom brother and sister that taught him to love, forgive and be strong no matter all the hate and judgment he sees in this world and he will get through this with our support…and learn his lessons through us and God. So at the end of the day I will continue to love him and see the good in him and be by his side!! You on the other hand will still be sitting on your computer typing these unnecessary and hurtful things and be better than nobody!!

"Good Hearted people" don't break into a church and steal from innocent people, they go out and get a real job like real good heart people do to survive!

I know that we have to face the consequences when the law is broken, but what has happened to grace, mercy, and love. If this were your beloved child, what would you want for him? Please pray for our youth and try to remember that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Please quit SHOUTING at us. And I really don't care if you think he's a good-hearted person. By he many acts of crime starting at the age of 15, he's nothing more than a hardened criminal and should be treated as such.

I think a few yrs in a Military school would teach these kids some life lessons! I did not say the Military Service. We need responsible young men there, but a Military school could work wonder for these kids!

There are alot good moms and fathers out there who try desperately to raise their kids the right way, but the kids just don't understand that. Coming to this site and seeing the ignorant comments from some of these people really does not help anything. I wish at some point these people would realize that they have kids and some will have grandkids. I know alot of people who wish they would have not said anything bad or have done anyone wrong, because they are certainly paying for it.
