Suspects Plead Guilty In Bank Robbery

Three suspects have pleaded guilty to a bank robbery from nearly two years ago.

Jonathan Murray, Douglas Whitfield and Basim Hamad entered guilty pleas in federal court in the April 2009 robbery of the Freedom Federal Credit Union in Rocky Mount.

Sentencing is set for June. Murray faces up to five years in prison, Whitfield up to 10 years to life, and Hamad, who has another bank robbery conviction, faces life in prison.
