Suspected Coke Trafficker Nabbed After Foot Chase

A foot chase from lawmen has landed a suspected cocaine trafficker in jail on a $800,000 bond.

Beaufort County deputies Wednesday charged Bobby Moore of Aurora with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies say they went to the intersection of Highway 33 East, Old Sandhill Road and Bonnerton Road in Edward, which is known as Alcohol Junction, to arrest Moore. They say the 31-year-old man ran from them before being caught. Deputies found 25 grams of cocaine and two plastic bags of marijuana on him.

Moore remains in the Beaufort County jail.

are there really still people about that have heard neither of the damage to life that cocaine does, nor the fact that it is against the law? Tony, no offense, but I disagree. A work team is for folks serving time for minor offenses. Dealers and violent criminals need to get put into a cell, and fed once a week, after which they can go shower. Then back into the cell. Forget the garbage with treating vermin nicely. They are in prison to keep innocent folks safe, not to be treated well! Economic crisis !!!

Back in the day there were "Juke Joints" at that intersection, about 5 or 6 of them. The highway would be lined up with cars and people. There could be a book written about Alcohol Junction in Edward. Young people today call these places clubs. The difference is people back then had fun drinking and dancing...no other drugs were involved. Just fun for many on a Friday and Saturday night. The shots they had came out of a glass. Those were the good ole days!

You're familiar with the area, huh? LOL. Don't tell me there's a Weed Drive too. Now, that's funny.

I grew up in that area, and it has been bad news for a long time now. Seems like the only thing it produces lately is drug dealers. Glad another one is off the streets!
