Suspect Charged In Onslow County Murder

A suspect is behind bars charged with the murder of an Onslow County man in September.

The Onslow County Sheriff's Office arrested 50-year-old James Days Junior of Chinquapin in the murder of 66-year-old Jerry Lee Pickett on September 18, 2010 in Maple Hill.

Pickett was found dead in his home. A medical examiner determined his throat was slit and he bled to death.

    it takes some balls to slit someones throat instead of shooting them. Guns dont kill people monkeys kill people.

    I'm so glad they found this man. This was my grandad who was killed by james, and i had almost lost hope. Looks are really decieving and no one can be trusted. Im just happy its over and i can finally stop thinking about it.

    He doesn't LOOK like a murderer to me. I guess every man has a breaking point, though.
