A cold front will push through eastern North Carolina by
Thursday morning. The front should sweep most of the showers and thunderstorms out of the area by sunrise. Behind the front we will see a decent amount of sunshine with warm southwesterly winds. Highs will reach the lower to middle 80s with only a stray shower possible in the afternoon. A stronger cold front will arrive late Friday bringing much cooler but sunny conditions for the weekend.
