A storm bringing rain to eastern North Carolina will move rapidly away from the area early Tuesday. Skies and clear rapidly during the morning allowing sunshine to return during the day. The air following the storm will be seasonable with highs generally in the lower 50s. Colder air will filter into our area Wednesday into Thursday with highs struggling to reach the middle 40s. Some moisture could return in the form of rain or snow late Wednesday night into Thursday.
