Sunshine will return to eastern North Carolina after the rain moves out early Tuesday. An area of low pressure could bring about a quarter to half-inch of rain overnight. The rain will end quickly on Tuesday morning followed by mostly sunny skies with northerly winds at 10 to 20 mph. Coastal communities could see winds as highs as 35 mph at times on Tuesday. We should continue to enjoy the sunshine into midweek.
