A strong cold front will push through eastern North Carolina overnight spawning a few showers across the area. The front will be followed by cooler and much drier air for Thrusday through the weekend. Highs will reach the middle to upper 60s during the afternoons with chilly nights in the 40s. It will be breezy for the next few days but the increased sunshine will make it feel a bit warmer. There is little or no chance for rain after tonight until the middle of next week.
