A large area of high pressure will build along the East Coast over the next two days giving eastern North Carolina mainly clear skies and light winds. Overnight lows will dip into the 40s with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 70s. The beaches will see slightly cooler readings as highs hit the upper 60s. The high will move off the coast by Saturday allowing clouds and moisture to return to the area. We should see some showers and thunderstorms by Saturday afternoon across much of the area.
